SNEAKERHEAD: the Art of Kicks, a multimedia exhibition chronicling the history of sneakers from athletic equipment to fashion and cultural phenomenon. Over the past 30 years, ever since a rookie guard in Chicago laced up his kicks, sneakers have evolved to transcend the hardwood and have come to influence the world of design and fashion in ways few had ever expected. Today, sneakers are billion dollar industry. They have become a place where art, design, technology, and fashion meet, where artists and designers use footwear to create visually striking works that often blur the line between accessory and totem.
