Original Open Call below:

I'm so excited to finally share a very special open call opportunity with the Texas art community!

This new public artwork will live at the upcoming Zilker Point development designed by Runa Workshop (@runaworkshop) on South Lamar, just south of downtown, in a public concourse connecting Zilker Point with Zach Scott Theatre and the future Dougherty Art Center.

This project has been in the works for four years so it feels amazing to finally open this opportunity to artists and artist teams living and working in Texas! I can't wait to see the talent that emerges from this call and to see how it will enrich and transform the vibrant community surrounding it. The artwork is being commissioned by 218 South Lamar Partners, LTD, and will be a contribution to the Austin Art in Public Places collection (AIPP).

You can find the full RFQ through the link in bio, or the bit.ly or QR code on the last slide. Help us spread the word! Applications will be accepted through this link at publicartist.org. Applications will NOT be accepted by postal mail or email.
